Laurie Ballard is the Founder/Principal of LMB Development Consulting, a consulting company that supports nonprofit organizations in identifying, developing and implementing short- and long-term strategies that promote growth and build long-term sustainability. Laurie has 25 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector. She has held a range of Executive and Senior level positions throughout her career and understands the day-to-day challenges faced by nonprofits in managing day to day operations, recruiting and retaining a diverse pool of staff and Board members, building relationships, and securing revenue. She has effectively developed tools and strategies in meeting these challenges. Throughout her career, Laurie has designed a successful development approach that has resulted in the securing of numerous national, state, and federal grants, major gifts, and community partnerships. Laurie’s work includes Strategic Planning, Capacity Building, Leadership and Board Coaching and Development, and Strategic Fundraising and Communications.
